The entire academic community of Pancasila University (UP) carried out a ceremony to commemorate the 74th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Saturday (17/08) at the Srengseng Sawah Jagakarsa Campus, South Jakarta. Acting as Inspector of the UP Rector Ceremony, Prof. Dr. Wahono Sumaryono, Apt. In his address, he conveyed the spirit of independence for all academicians who were present, including lecturers, educators, students, leaders and members of the UP Education Foundation and Trustees.
In commemoration of Indonesia's independence day this time the Chancellor invites all campus residents, community members and citizens to continue to provide the best whatever profession they are in, to continue to provide the best contribution in advancing the nation and state, currently UP is ranked 45th in State Universities (PTN) and Private Universities (PTS) throughout Indonesia and are included in the 17 best PTS in 2019 for the 2nd cluster of a total of 70 tertiary institutions according to the results of the clustering and ranking of Indonesian tertiary institutions in 2019 by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, this assessment focuses on indicators or Output-based assessment - Outcome Base. This is a proud achievement for all UP academics, but behind this achievement we should not be complacent, let's continue to strive to provide the best for campus performance, for the community and this nation, so that ultimately UP is not only rated as an "Ivory Tower" but more functional and effective as a "Tower of Light" which provides enlightenment and intelligence for the community, provides direction in the development of science and technology and at the same time becomes a "Water Tower" to encourage and improve the Socio-Economic life of the Community through knowledge-based community service programs knowledge and technology, let's work real for the progress of UP, said Prof. Wahono.
