Pancasila University once again added Professors in Public Sector Accounting and Government Accounting Systems, Prof. Dr. H. Suratno, SE., MM., Ak., CA. he is the 16th Professor who has been appointed at Pancasila University (UP). Located in the UP Postgraduate School Auditorium, Jl. Borobudur, Central Jakarta (18/07). Present at this activity were the Chancellor and his staff, the Education Foundation and UP Trustees, Faculty Leaders, Professors, Lecturers and SPSUP Students.
UP Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Wahono Sumaryono in his speech congratulated Prof. Suratno, who has succeeded in reaching the level of professorship academic position today, according to him, the determination of the degree of professorship can be interpreted in various perspectives. increasing the capacity and quality of inputs and processes in the entire series of academic governance in order to achieve institutional performance through the tri dharma of higher education, third is the moral and professional obligation for those concerned to contribute to the development of science and technology in order to educate the life of the nation through scientific orations that entitled "The Prevalence of Village Government Accounting Systems: A Critical Ethnographic Study on Village Government in Indonesia".
In this scientific oration, Prof. Suratno would like to share information with all of us regarding disproportionate fluctuations in budget absorption in all villages in Indonesia in the 2015-2018 period. This indirectly represents that a good accounting system has not been implemented so that it can be one of the factors that has an impact on the slow economic growth of the village, taking into account various factors related to village financial governance, especially the weak human resources, Prof. Suratno invited academics in the field of accounting to contribute to fostering and counseling the village economic accounting system as an instrument to accelerate the rate of economic growth in rural areas so that village budget allocations provided by the government can be utilized proportionally, accountably and productively, said Prof. Wahono.
In closing, he hopes that this can be a huge motivation for all lecturer colleagues in the UP environment so that they can immediately spur their academic and non-academic performance in order to reach professorial positions.
