Accreditation is given by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT), as the only body that has authority from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education ( Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education)
Based on BAN-PT data, as of April 1 2019, a total of 8,165 accreditation proposals from Sabang to Merauke submitted to BAN-PT
There are at least 13 higher education institutions registered with A accreditation in region 3 or the Jakarta area. There are 75 higher education institutions with B accreditation and 69 with C accreditation
