ODD SEMESTER ONLINE GRADUATION TA. 2019/2020 PANCASILA UNIVERSITY

"The role of Higher Education in a world without borders, is to ensure the emergence of superior and highly competitive human resources/graduates. These advantages can be obtained if existing human resources have the right knowledge, technology, skills and work ethic. This is what Pancasila University has built since it was founded on October 28, 1966, and until now it continues to try to improve its quality. said dr. (HC). Ir. Siswono Yudo Husodo, as Chairperson of the Education Foundation & Trustees of the Pancasila University. Resilience and the ability to adapt to change is one of the qualities that Pancasila University (UP) graduates need to have and this is what UP wants to exemplify by holding its first online graduation on Saturday, August 8 2020 as a form of adaptation to new habits that have occurred due to the Covid pandemic -19. In its implementation, UP is collaborating with Trans Studio Cibubur which already has adequate technology for going online, meets health protocol standards and also of course has competent human resources in their fields. This is also a form of Higher Education's openness in collaborating with various industrial fields.

At the 2019/2020 Odd Semester Online Graduation, Pancasila University graduated 1,169 from various levels of education from Associate Experts, Bachelors, Pharmacist Professions, Masters and Doctors. In total, up to now, the number of UP graduates is 63,169 people who have contributed to the world of industry and society. UP Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Wahono Sumaryono, Apt. said that there were changes that occurred rapidly on a global scale due to the Covid-19 pandemic forcing all of us to form new behaviors, adjust our living habits, and ultimately change the way we live. Change is certainly not an easy thing, but speed of adaptation is needed to be able to participate in global competition. UP also continues to adapt by carrying out almost every activity online, such as: new student admission exams, lectures, thesis trials and conducting seminars online so that the academic climate can be maintained. At this online graduation, to increase participants' insight and awareness of world developments, UP invited the Minister of Research and Technology / Head of the National Innovation Research Agency, Prof. Bambang Brodjonegoro, Ph.D. to give scientific orations. It is hoped that what will be presented later can prepare graduates to compete.

The impact of this pandemic is of course very broad and affects the economic condition of the community. Therefore, as a form of concern for UP, a policy was issued regarding the provision of assistance in the form of money to replace internet quota in the amount of Rp. 600,000.00/student for this semester and provides tuition discounts/discounts for new and old students. In addition to responding to economic changes, UP also responds quickly to changes in the policy of the Minister of Education and Culture regarding the Independent Campus and Independent Learning. Some of the strategic steps that UP has taken to improve the quality of graduates are developing an entrepreneurship curriculum, collaborating with 74 BUMNs, where up to now there have been 264 students who have apprenticed for 6 months, developing student entrepreneurship by facilitating the development of 64 start-ups consisting of the culinary field, fashion, and IT applications as well as increasing collaboration with alumni in increasing competency and facilitating the availability of job opportunities.
