Pancasila University (UP) won the Prevention of Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (P4GN) award from the Republic of Indonesia National Narcotics Agency (BNN RI) in the educational environment category.
The award was given by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) when holding the 2020 International Anti-Narcotics Day (HANI) commemoration which was different from the previous HANI commemoration, the 2020 HANI commemoration was held virtually, Friday (26/6).
The event was titled "Living 100 percent in the New Normal Era of Conscious, Healthy, Productive and Happy Without Drugs." This activity was opened by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, KH. Ma'ruf Amin through video conferencing, and also attending the event was Menpan RB Tjahjo Kumolo, and Head of BNN Komjen Pol Drs. Heru Winarko, SH
On this occasion the award was given directly by the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, Tjahjo Kumolo who was accompanied by the Head of BNN to the Chancellor of Pancasila University, Wahono Sumaryono.
The Chancellor of Pancasila University, Wahono said that this award was an appreciation for the consistency of Pancasila University in carrying out various drug eradication activities on campus.
Starting from signing a student commitment not to be involved in drug distribution and use, carrying out routine urine tests since 2013, and providing counseling to students about the effects of drug use."
Joko Hartanto as Deputy Chancellor III added that he said the drug eradication movement on campus was also fully supported by alumni by forming an Anti-Drug Task Force which functions to provide assistance to students so they are not involved in drug use.
"In the future the alumni will also provide regular debriefing to students," he said. Giving awards during the Covid-19 pandemic is proof that support for drug eradication activities will continue under all conditions, because this is related to the future of the nation.
