The Law Faculty of Pancasila University and the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Hong Kong held a seminar with the theme PMI Protection in Hong Kong: Freedom of Expression on Social Media from the perspective of the ITE Law which was held in a hybrid manner on Sunday (18/06). This activity began with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong and Pancasila University (UP).
Present at this activity was Ricky Suhendar as Consul General of the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong, Chancellor of Pancasila University Prof. Dr. Edie Toet Hendratno, SH., M.Sc., FCBArb., Dean of the Faculty of Law, Pancasila University Prof. Dr. Eddy Pratomo, SH, MA, and Dr. Adnan Hamid, SH, MH, MM and Hasbullah, SH, MH as resource persons.
In carrying out the signing of the MOU and the presentations presented by the speakers, it is hoped that good cooperation will be established between Pancasila University and the Indonesian Consulate in Hong Kong so that they can produce various accesses to information and communication. The purpose of this seminar is to gain an understanding of how normatively the provisions of this law regulate personal data and understanding what is the potential and solution in legal cases involving the use of social media.
