Pancasila University Industrial Engineering Study Program Conducts Community Service Through Emission Tests for the Community

A TEAM of lecturers and students from the Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Pancasila University (FTUP) carried out community service activities. One form of service is providing four-wheeled vehicle emission testing services for the community and public lectures related to air pollution for industrial engineering students and motor vehicle maintenance for the general public.

This activity was an emissions test with the theme Reduce Your Emissions, Make Your Skies Blue which was carried out in the parking lot of the Faculty of Engineering, Pancasila University, Jalan Srengseng Sawah DKI Jakarta.

This emission testing activity for all types of four-wheeled motorized vehicles is part of the Community Service Program of the Industrial Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Pancasila University in collaboration with Mitsubishi Lautan Berlian and Mitsubishi Pajero Club Indonesia (MPCI).

On the other hand, the emission testing activities and public lectures which will be held on October 6 2023 from 09.00 – 16.00 WIB are not only about free emission testing services for the public but also providing students with knowledge about air pollution and motor vehicle maintenance. Mitsubishi Lautan Berlian, which is one of the partners in the emission testing activity, also conveyed almost the same statement as the statement from the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Pancasila University, that this emission testing activity was a real action of collaboration between universities and the private sector in protecting the environment, especially air pollution through emission testing. . Furthermore, Mr. Eris, who represents PT. Mitsubishi Lautan Berlian also hopes that reducing emissions or air pollution is a shared responsibility to realize the DKI Jakarta government program, namely Blue Sky.

Meanwhile, the Mitsubishi Pajero Club Indonesia (MPCI), represented by Mrs. Clara, stated that through four-wheeled motor vehicle emissions testing activities for the community, this is a shared concern for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution. Through emission tests, you will also be able to find out the actual condition of motorized vehicles, he added.

It is hoped that this activity can be the first step in collaboration between Pancasila University, especially the Faculty of Engineering, Mitsubishi Lautan Berlian and MPCI in implementing community service activities through different activities such as providing assistance to victims of natural disasters, community sanitation and others, added Dr. Sodikun, ST., MT, one of the lecturers at the Industrial Engineering Program at Pancasila University who is also a member of MPCI.

Emission testing activities for four-wheeled motorized vehicles and public lectures related to air pollution and maintenance of motorized vehicles are one of the Community Service activities in collaboration with lecturers, educational staff and students of the Industrial Engineering Study Program in supporting the Green Campus movement to create a clean campus area without any pollution. air said Nur Yulianti Hidayah who is also the Head of the Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Pancasila University.
