The Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University, in collaboration with the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA) and the Department of Food Science and Technology, IPB University, is proud to present The 4th World Science, Environment and Engineering Competition (WSEEC) 2024, in the Hall on the 4th floor of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University Building. which will take place on 13–16 May 2024.
The Opening Ceremony on May 13 2024 was attended by the Chancellor of Pancasila University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo, IPU., Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University, Mr. Prof. Dr. apt. Syamsudin, M.Biomed., President of IYSA Mr. Deni Irawan, M.Pd., officials in the rectorate and faculty, and representatives of international delegations from 2 countries, namely Bangladesh and Thailand.
In his speech, Prof. Marsudi said that "Current technological developments open up opportunities for many things that were previously impossible to become possible. City human resources need to have highly skilled technical skills to be able to operate technology because in the future many human jobs will be replaced by machines. However, in the future we will need HR with High Skilled Innovators or Creator HR, so that we can keep up with technological developments. In order not to be left behind, we need to master the 9 pillars of technology and competition activities like this are important to stimulate the younger generation to become innovators in the field of technology.
According to the head of the WSEEC 2024 organizer, Iqbal Julian, "WSEEC is an annual multinational innovation competition in the fields of General Science, Environment and Engineering with participants from elementary-university levels. More specifically, this competition covers the following fields: Mathematics, Energy and Engineering, Physics, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Environment and Technology."
Iqbal further explained that "This year's event will be attended by 311 teams with details of 48 offline teams and 163 online teams coming from 18 countries, namely India, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, South Korea, the United States, United Arab Emirates, Puerto Rico, Iran, Egypt, Malaysia, Philippines, Mexico, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia. The activity on May 13 2024 is the Opening Ceremony and online judging of participating teams. The activity on May 14 2024 is offline judging of participating teams. Activities on May 15 2024 are Inventors' Talk and Awarding Ceremony for online participating teams. Meanwhile, on May 16 2024, the activities will include an Awarding Ceremony for offline participating teams and a Closing Ceremony."
