Jakarta, 3 July 2024 – The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Defense University (Unhan) carried out benchmarking activities at the Institute for Research and Community Service of Pancasila University (LPPM-UP) in the context of collaboration in improving the quality and effectiveness of research and community service. This meeting took place at the UP Rectorate Building and was welcomed by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Sri Widyastuti, SE., MM., M.Sc., Deputy Chancellor for Administration, General Affairs and Assets, Mr. Ir. Handrito Hardjono, MM., MPA., MSM., Director of HR-UP Mr. Drs. Untung Leksono, M.Si., Psi. Head of LPPM-UP Mr. Ir. Irfan Ihsani, ST., M.Sc. along with other ranks.
Head of LPPM-Defense University, Mrs. Prof. Dr. apt. Yahdiana Harahap, MS, explained "We want to learn from several universities that have various advantages in the fields of research and service. The one we chose for this benchmarking is UP. "With this benchmarking, we hope that UP and IDU can collaborate later in this field," said Prof. Diana.
The Head of LPPM-UP welcomed the visit and stated that he would collaborate with the Defense University. "We are happy to be able to share knowledge and experience with colleagues from the Defense University."
One of the important results of this benchmarking activity is an agreement to undertake a joint research and service project that will involve both universities. This project is expected to produce more comprehensive research and service and have a positive impact on the wider community. Apart from that, the two universities also agreed to hold joint seminars and workshops on a regular basis. The aim is to continuously update the knowledge and skills of researchers, as well as facilitate the exchange of ideas and innovations between the two institutions. This collaboration will demonstrate the joint commitment of UP and IDU in improving the quality of research, service and higher education in Indonesia.
