LPPM organizes Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activities as well as Technical Guidance for Improving Scientific Journal Accreditation

Pancasila University (UP) through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) held a Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activity as well as Technical Guidance for Improving Scientific Journal Accreditation on Thursday, June 12, 2025. This activity took place in the UP Faculty of Psychology Hall and was attended by a number of journal managers, lecturers, and invited guests from various faculties.

This event was officially opened by the Chancellor of Pancasila University, Prof. Dr. Adnan Hamid, SH, MH, MM. In his speech, he expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this activity and emphasized the importance of the role of scientific journals in supporting the university's academic reputation.

"Increasing journal accreditation is not just an administrative matter, but reflects the scientific quality and global competitiveness of our institutions. I hope that all journal managers can take advantage of this activity to improve standards and professionalism," said Prof. Adnan.

 

The first session was filled by Prof. Dr. Irwansyah, SH, MH (Editor in Chief of Jurnal Hasanuddin Law Review Scopus Q2) and accompanied by moderator Amipriyadi Gerha Permana as General Manager of Pancasila University journals. In this session, he presented material on filling out journals and data management needed for submitting National Journal accreditation so that it can be indexed by Scopus International. In his presentation, Prof. Irwansyah explained various indicators that must be considered by journal managers in order to meet the established assessment criteria.

Next, the second material was delivered by two speakers, namely I Dewa Gede Agung Kurnia Juliharta (Directorate of Research and Community Service) and Ade Irmanto (Directorate of Research and Community Service), who thoroughly discussed the flow of scientific journal publication through the SINTA (Science and Technology Index) and ARJUNA (National Journal Accreditation) systems. Both explained the technical and strategic processes in submitting journals to the two platforms, including requirements, supporting documents, and challenges commonly faced by journal managers.

By holding this activity, LPPM Pancasila University hopes that all scientific journals under the auspices of the university can continue to develop, improve the quality of publications, and achieve higher accreditation both at the national and international levels.
