Pancasila University (UP) appointed Prof. Dr. Edie Toet Hendratno, SH, M.Si., FCBArb. (31/05) as Chancellor for the Service Period May 28 2021 to March 14 2022, where the implementation will take place in the UP Rectorate Building. The inauguration and taking of the oath of office were attended by the Pancasila University Educational Foundation and Trustees (YPPUP), University and Faculty Leaders.
In his remarks, the Chairman of YPPUP Dr. (HC). Ir. Siswono Yudo Husodo, said that the entire UP Academic Community was filled with sadness and grief over the loss of Prof. Dr. apt. Wahono Sumaryono who passed away on May 25, 2021. However, as the person in charge of UP, all YPPUP members think that there should not be a leadership vacuum on this campus, and after considering various aspects such as: experience, insight, commitment, integrity, and paying attention to regulations YPPUP and UP Statute, finally with the approval of YPPUP colleagues, in accordance with their respective authorities, all agreed to appoint and appoint Prof. Edie Toet as rector with a service period of 28 May 2021 to 14 March 2022, which is in accordance with the term of service of Prof. Unresolved Wahono.
Of course, being a rector with only 9 months of service is not easy. That is why we are looking for figures who are capable, and who are no longer running for the next chancellor due to the age factor, so that they can oversee the process for selecting the chancellor which will start around December 2021 so that it runs on time.
Prof. Edie Toet himself as the appointed chancellor also expressed his deep sorrow for the death of Prof. Wahono Sumaryono. Belia said that in the future there would still be 9 months of remaining assignments, therefore Prof. Edie Toet invited the entire academic community to work hand in hand to complete this remaining work. "I know very well all the leaders of Pancasila University from top to bottom. I'm sure everyone loves UP so everyone is ready to work for the betterment of UP."
