ASEAN DATA SCIENCE (ASEANDSE) is a regional program by the ASEAN Foundation and SAP which aims to catalyze activism among students in ASEAN. Since its establishment in 2017, ASEANDSE has empowered more than 9,000 young people from 230 higher education institutions in the region with data analytics skills.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Pancasila University (FTUP) Dr. Ir. Budhi M. Suyitno, IPM was present at this activity to give a speech. In his remarks, the Dean of FTUP hoped that Pancasila University students could take part in and participate in ASEANDSE activities in the following years, more so they could become champions.
The Amethyst Team from the Bandung Institute of Technology ITB won the 2019 ASEAN Data Science Explorers (ASEANDSE) Indonesia competition. The ITB team consisted of Stephanie and Owen Nixon Jimawan. Their projects focus on solutions to green cities from pollution and climate change. As the first winners they will represent Indonesia in the regional finals in October 2019.
