DPD RI fully supports the construction of 5 Pancasila University Worship Houses

As a Higher Education Institution that adheres to the noble values of Pancasila, Pancasila University (UP) is currently building 5 Houses of Worship on campus, Apart from the Mosque which has been built since 2019, the 5 Houses of Worship are, namely, the Catholic Church, the Protestant Church, Monasteries, temples and temples are expected to be completed this year and inaugurated by the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia.

The construction of the Pancasila University House of Worship received full support from the DPD RI. Member of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia from Bali, Shri IGN Arya Wedakarna MWS visited Pancasila University regarding the committee's proposal regarding plans to build a Hindu temple that is parallel to 5 other places of worship. IGN Arya Wedakarna MWS, who is often called AWK, will participate in the construction of a Hindu temple.

AWK made this statement after observing the construction of a temple for Hindus at Pancasila University (UP). In this regard, AWK promised that he, through the DPD institution with existing political power, would try to assist the development process. According to AWK, the presence of six places of worship on the UP campus is a living laboratory for implementing Pancasila values and this will be the first private campus in Jakarta and in Indonesia to have 6 places of worship.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Board of Education Foundation and Supervisor of Pancasila University, Prof. Edie Toet Hendratno expressed his gratitude for the support of DPD RI members to help build houses of worship on the Pancasila University campus. "Hopefully his commitment can be realized here," he said. In addition, Prof. Edie Toet Hendratno also said that as a university institution, Pancasila University must be able to accommodate all religions so that religious harmony can be created. Later the management of this house of worship will be carried out by students and lecturers under the supervision of the vice chancellors.
