Faculty of Psychology, Pancasila University Participates in International Seminar Activities and Signing of Letter of Intent (LoI)

Surabaya, January 24, 2025 – The Faculty of Psychology, Pancasila University is proud to announce its participation in the International Seminar and Signing of the Letter of Intent (LoI) organized by the Indonesian Psychological Association (HIMPSI) in collaboration with the American Psychological Association (APA). The International Seminar event will take place on January 22, 24, and 26, 2025 in three locations, namely Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bali.

This activity carries the theme "The Future of Psychology: How Psychological Science and Practice Contribute in Building the Nation", this seminar presents prominent speakers such as Dr. Arthur C. Evans (CEO APA) and Dr. Debra M. Kawahara (President APA), as well as national stakeholders who discuss the role of psychology in supporting national development.

As part of this activity, a Dean Forum session and the Signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) were held involving APA, HIMPSI, and 34 universities in Indonesia that have Psychology Study Programs, including Pancasila University. This signing is the first step to strengthen academic and professional cooperation in the field of psychology between Indonesia and the United States.

The following are the details of the international psychology seminar activities:

•⁠ Wednesday, January 22, 2025, 08.00–13.00 WIB, Manhattan Hotel, Jakarta.

•⁠ Friday, January 24, 2025, 07.30–12.00 WIB, Bumi Surabaya City Resort.

•⁠ Sunday, January 26, 2025, 08.00–12.00 WITA, Prime Plaza Hotel, Sanur, Bali.

"The collaboration between the Faculty of Psychology of Pancasila University and APA facilitated by HIMPSI is one way for FPsiUP to enter the international world, both for joint research, exchange of lecturers and students and international conference speakers." said Dr. Ayu Dwi Nindyati, M.Si., Psychologist as Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Psychology of Pancasila University

This activity not only presents an academic forum but also strengthens the collaboration network between higher education institutions of psychology in Indonesia and the world. The Faculty of Psychology of Pancasila University hopes that this collaboration can have a significant impact in answering challenges in the world of psychology in the future.
