In the context of developing the learning process for Compulsory Subjects in the Pancasila and Citizenship Higher Education Curriculum (MKWK), a Semester Learning Plan (RPS) is needed which is developed using a Project-Based Learning Model.
In this regard, LP3 is holding a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activity to compile the MKWK Collaborative SIP for Pancasila and Citizenship Subjects, which will be held on Thursday, July 20 2023.
The FGD was attended by all permanent lecturers of MKWK with directions from the Head of LP3, Head of KJM, and Deputy Head of KJM.
The event was opened by Dr. Nurmala Ahmar, SE., M.Sc., Ak., CA as the Head of LP3, he explained that the Pancasila Course itself is different from Citizenship. This is because Pancasila is more emphasized on the value agreement system as the ideology and basis of the state. Meanwhile Citizenship is more about the space for implementing Pancasila values.
However, Pancasila and Citizenship Education is a form of education that develops good student attitudes and abilities from the aspects of knowledge, attitudes, skills, and character.
This FGD is more about discussing how the Pancasila and Citizenship MKWK lecturers have been teaching in classes adapted to RPS and OBE.
In accordance with the theme of the FGD, namely discussing the MKWK RPS, it was conveyed by Dr. Dede Lia Zariatin, ST., MT. as Deputy Head of KJM said that in RPS CPL must be considered from each RPS, we just stick to the standards of higher education that are currently in effect, the 2020 Ministry of Education and Culture regarding the formulation of attitudes in Education.
Mr Ir. Eka Maulana, M.MT. as the Head of KJM added that all lecturers have a way of teaching, or best practice how to teach in class with the same goal. These best practices must be accommodated and summarized, so as to produce effective and targeted teaching patterns. Make this best practice a standard, for teaching patterns and implementing RPS. In the RPS there must be a CPL that is adjusted to the needs and abilities, don't compile something that cannot be completed and implemented.
The output of the Collaborative MKWK RPS FGD on July 20 2023 resulted in a MKWK RPS Draft and a Project Proposal Template for students.
