In-Depth talk about University of California Berkeley

Pancasila University (UP) collaborates with the University of California Berkeley (UCB), UCB is included in the ranks of the best universities in the world. This collaboration includes research collaboration, visiting research to lecturer and student exchanges. As a form of collaboration between UP and UCB, it began with holding a seminar which was held in a hybrid manner in the Pancasila University Pharmacy Hall with the theme “In-Depth talk about University of California Berkeley (2/8/2022).

This seminar invited speakers from the University of California Berkeley Prof. George Anwar and Dr. Matthew P. Sherburne. Also present at this activity was the Chancellor of Pancasila University, Prof. Dr. Edie Toet Hendratno, SH, M.Sc., FCBArb and the vice-chancellors who also gave remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. apt. Syamsudin, M. Biomed. along with the ranks.

FCBARb expresses its pride and fully supports the initial steps of this collaboration "UCB is a prestigious university and one of the best in the world, of course with this agenda it is hoped that this collaboration will continue. Our principle is to find friends and establish cooperation. Collaboration with the University of California Berkeley (UCB) is certainly an added value in granting accreditation by the government to universities.

Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University, Prof. Dr. apt. Syamsudinm M. Biomed said that this seminar was the first step in cooperation with UCB for collaboration in various fields. Such as student and lecturer exchanges, students continuing their studies to a higher level, research collaborations, guest lectures, professor visits, postdoctoral visits, to certain courses or programs of expertise.

Prof. Syamsudin explained in more detail that the research that could be developed with UCB was oral albumin which he and Nucleus Farma were developing. By utilizing the technology presented by UCB, such as stem cells and nanotechnology, his party will modify albumin so that it can be directly absorbed into the target cells. As is known, albumin is very useful in maintaining health and curing disease.

Collaboration between UP and UCB is expected to develop in accordance with the mutually agreed work program in the future. Of course Pancasila University is ready to collaborate with UCB.
