UP's collaboration with the Multi Stakeholder Partnership through the Sungaibuntu Fisherman's Tourism Village Program

As one of the universities in Indonesia which has long been committed and strives to continue to support sustainable development and community empowerment in various regions through research and community service programs involving the Academic Community of Pancasila University (UP) with a variety of scientific knowledge spread across 31 study programs owned. One of the main initiatives launched was the launch of the Sungaibuntu Fisherman Tourism Village program. This program aims to develop the tourism potential of fishing hamlets in the Sungaibuntu Village area, Karawang, West Java. UP has established Multi Stakeholder Partnership Cooperation with various parties, both in the business and industrial world as well as government agencies, including carrying out the Penta-helix collaboration and signing an MoU with PT. Pacific Paint, the Regional Government of Karawang Regency and the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia which was marked by the launch of the Sungaibuntu Fisherman Tourism Village on (01/10).

Present at this activity was Prof. Dr. Sri W., SE, MM, M.Si. as Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs at UP, Dr. Darmansjah Djumala, SE, MA as Executive Director of the UP Pancasila Study Center, Irma Triana Adi S. as Main Director of PT. PT. Pacific Paint, Regional Secretary of Karawang Regency Government, Ir. Harlina Sulistyorini, M.Sc. as Director General. Economic Development and Investment Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H. Indra Utama, MPWK as General Chair of the National Village Consultative Association DPP, as well as representatives of the UP Academic Community, community leaders and other stakeholder partners.

This activity was welcomed by the community with the existence of a partnership for village development and community empowerment, especially in the economic sector, where the majority of people in Sungaibuntu Village depend on marine products for their livelihoods. UP together with the Institute for Research and Community Service collaborates with lecturers and students from various programs. study to carry out community service activities by carrying out training activities on processing tembang fish which is then processed in such a way into products with high selling value, namely processed fish floss and tembang fish brains which are then packaged with a logo and good and attractive packaging for marketing. As is known, tembang fish is better known as salted fish which has a very economical price in the community. With this training and assistance, it is hoped that it can encourage the community's economic sector through the MSME sector as well as innovations emerging from the community to advance the economic sector so that it becomes better.
