This paper is also a development of the Architectural History coursework he received at the Faculty of Engineering UP with Supervisor Dr. Ir. Yuke Ardhiati, MT, IAI.

According to Sahadat, he wrote this paper based on his own personal experience. In November 2018, he had the opportunity to visit Donggo Village which is the hometown of the Ama family, as his father called him in the Mbojo language, the village was named Donggo. In his native village, there are many interesting stories and experiences with the Donggo people and also another unique thing, namely the traditional house from their ancestors which is usually called Uma Lengge.

Uma Lengge is a traditional house that is still preserved today. The Uma lengge concept emphasizes natural elements combined with unfabricated elements or materials. Sahadat hopes that this paper will be useful in elevating the values of ancestral philosophy and being able to get closer to all life in traditional houses and residential homes. The Uma Lengge building, according to Sahadat, although it is a traditional building, turns out to be one of the criteria for sustainable architecture in this modern era.
