Jakarta, April 30, 2025 — Pancasila University officially inaugurated Prof. Dr. Adnan Hamid, SH, MH, MM as Acting Rector in a short but solemn event at the Pancasila University Rectorate Building, Jakarta.
This inauguration was carried out along with the end of the previous Chancellor's term of office and aims to maintain continuity of leadership and ensure the operational stability of the campus ahead of the transition period towards a definitive Chancellor.
Prof. Dr. Adnan Hamid previously served as the Chair of the Senate of Pancasila University and is widely known as a senior academic figure who understands the internal dynamics of the campus. His appointment as Acting Rector is expected to be able to continue the leadership with full responsibility.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by important figures from Pancasila University and the Pancasila University Education and Supervisory Foundation (YPP-UP), including the Chair of the Supervisory Board Dr. (HC) Ir. Siswono Yudho Husodo, Supervisory Member Kiki Lestari, and Indra Utama, Supervisory Member who is also the Deputy Chair of the Education Division of PWI Jakarta. Also present were faculty leaders, KAUP commissioner heads, and Prof. Adnan's colleagues such as Prof. Dr. Reda Manthovani, SH, LL.M. (Junior Attorney General for Intelligence), as well as alumni of the Faculty of Law such as Harry Ponto and Sandi Arifin.
In his remarks, the Chairman of YPP-UP Advisory Board, Dr. (HC). Ir. Siswono Yudho Husodo expressed his appreciation for the dedication of the previous rector and high hopes for the new official. "We are sure that Prof. Adnan can carry out this mandate well, continue the good performance and improve the poor performance to be good," said Siswono.
Prof. Adnan Hamid in his first statement conveyed his readiness to work optimally in his relatively short term of office. "I will try to carry out this mandate as well as possible, especially in the near future we must prepare for undergraduate graduation and new student admissions," he said.
The appointment of the Acting Chancellor will be valid until the election of the definitive Chancellor through a mechanism in accordance with the statutes of Pancasila University.
