INTRODUCTION TO NEW STUDENT CAMPUS LIFE (PKKMB) 2019

PANCASILA NIVERSITY BUILDS AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY & PANCASILA, AS KEYS TO YOUTH INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT

.

Human resource development is one of the government's priority visions, and of course higher education is one of the places that plays a big role. Science and technology is one of the things that must be mastered by future generations. A scientific way of thinking and mastery of technology will make Indonesia's young generation reckoned with by the world community. Of course, the use and development of science and technology in Indonesia must have the characteristics of Pancasila, which contains the noble values of the Indonesian people.

Pancasila University (UP) realizes that the younger generation will lose their Indonesianness if Pancasila is not included in the science and technology learning process. Therefore, in the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) activities for the 2019-2020 Academic Year from 26-30 August 2019, UP raised the topic of "Building Intellectual Intelligence Based on Science and Technology in Facing the Industrial Age 4.0 Based on the Noble Values of Pancasila" which means building intellectual intelligence must use science and technology and Pancasila to complement each other.

In line with the spirit above, UP provides material on how to counteract radicalism/terrorism, drug prevention, builds learning abilities in higher education based on scientific principles, & also invites alumni to attend and share successful experiences with new students. Currently, UP's new students number around 2,400 for D3 and S1 levels.

UP's consistency in developing Higher Education based on science and technology and Pancasila values has brought UP to various achievements. UP Chancellor, Prof. Wahono Sumaryono in his remarks, conveyed some of the achievements made by Pancasila University, namely being ranked 5th as the best Private Higher Education (PTS) in DKI Jakarta in 2019, entering into the 16 best PTS in Indonesia in 2019, is ranked 1st -32 as the greenest campus in Indonesia in 2018 & rose to rank 45 of the best PTN and PTS in Indonesia in 2019.
