54TH ANNIVERSARY OF PANCASILA UNIVERSITY

Jakarta. Wednesday, 4 November 2020 Pancasila University commemorated its 54th anniversary with the theme "54 Years of Pancasila University Building APIK (Adaptive-Productive-Innovative-Contributive) People for Excellent Indonesia" which took place in the 4th floor of the Faculty of Engineering Hall.

In the conditions of the Covid-19 Pandemic that has not subsided, the commemoration of the 54th Anniversary of Pancasila University (UP) is carried out in a limited manner while still implementing strict Health Protocols. Present were Foundations, University Leaders, Faculty/SPs. Leaders, Heads/Heads of Institutions, Heads of Bureaus, Employee Representatives, UP Partners, Chairs of KAUP, Chairs of the Senate, Chairmen of BP KMUP. Meanwhile all other employees, both WFO and WFH, also participated in this 54th anniversary commemoration and could watch it via UP's YouTube live streaming.

Pancasila University, which was established on October 28, 1966 in conjunction with the Youth Pledge, actively implements the Tridharma of Higher Education through the Merdeka Learning Campus program in an effort to face the dynamic Industrial Revolution 4.0 and is still able to contribute to educating the life of the nation by sticking to the noble values of Pancasila.

In the 2020/2021 academic year the number of new student admissions for the 2020/2021 academic year was 2539 starting from the D3, S1, Pharmacist Profession, Masters, and Doctoral programs. Of the 27 study programs there are 17 accredited A accredited study programs, Pancasila University also received A accreditation as an institution besides ISO

In his remarks, the Chancellor, among others, conveyed the developments of UP during 2020, both in the academic and non-academic fields. In the academic field, Pancasila University applies learning from the Merdeka Campus – Freedom to Learn, the Pharmacy Doctoral Program has graduated 3 Doctors with an average GPA of 4.0. The number of active UP students in the 2020/2021 academic year reached 12,165.

In addition, the UP Faculty of Law and South Korea's Youngsan University are collaborating for the Joint Degree Bachelor of Law program. As well as plans to open 5 (five) new study programs, namely: Masters Study Program in Pancasila Studies and Public Leadership (SPs), Doctoral Program in Mechanical Engineering, Masters Study Program in Infrastructure and Regional Engineering, Professional Architecture Study Program, S1 Railway Engineering Study Program (from the Faculty of Engineering), Study Program Vocational D4 MICE-Faculty of Tourism, and Doctor of Law Study Program, Faculty of Law.

In the non-academic field, UP also won P4GN from the National Narcotics Agency in June 2020, for playing an active role in efforts to prevent, eradicate, abuse and illicit narcotics (P4GN). Plans to build 4 (four) houses of worship for Buddhism, Hinduism, Catholics, as well as Protestant Christians as a form of embodiment of the noble values of Pancasila, especially the precepts of YME Godhead.

In commemoration of UP's 54th Anniversary, the Dean of FHUP Prof.Dr. Eddy Pratomo launched the biography book "Diplomat Kesasar" on 21 October 2020 and was followed by the launch of Prof. Mardjono Reksodiputro's book "The Spirit Never Goes Out" on 24 October 2020. Wednesday, 28 October 2020 the Chancellor named 100 students participating in Entrepreneur Day as Young Entrepreneurs Pancasila University in 2020.

Speeches were also delivered by the Chairman of the Trustees of the Foundation, Mr. Siswono Yudo Husodo. In the midst of these dynamic and complex external conditions, Pancasila University continues to make more progress to produce APIK (Adaptive-Productive-Innovative-Contributive) graduates.
