Certified Student Internship Program (PMMB) 2020

The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) through the Indonesian Human Capital Forum (FHCI) provided strengthening of the Certified Student Internship Program (PMMB) which was held at the Mandiri Assembly Hall Jakarta, Wednesday (12/2). The BUMN PMMB strengthening program was carried out through talk show activities which were attended by directors from 143 BUMNs and students and chancellors from 300 PTNs and PTS from all over the country. Present representing Pancasila University, UP Chancellor Prof. Dr. Wahono Sumaryono, Apt. and Head of Entrepreneurship Development Center and UP Student Career Service (PPKLKM) Ir. Petiana Indriati and UP student representatives.

The activity, which was also the launching of PMMB for 2020, was opened by the Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir and attended by the Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Makarim. In this event, the Minister of BUMN said, "Seeing McKinsey data which states that 375 million workers in the world must be reskilled and retrained, because the 50% jobs that exist today will be automated. This is one of the reasons why SOEs as industry players must be sensitive to the challenges of this disruption and develop human resource development programs that can address these challenges by collaborating with the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Manpower, educational institutions, and the private sector.”

Currently, UP is also very active in running this Certified Student Internship Program and it is recorded that this program has been attended by 116 students spread across 34 State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) from the period August 2019 to January 2020, through PPKLKM we support This program is full because it can provide enrichment of students' insights and skills to prepare and create superior Indonesian human resources, especially in facing global competition through the alignment of higher education curriculum with industry/world of work, said UP Chancellor Prof. Wahono.
