Jakarta, August 17, 2025 – Pancasila University (UP) held a Flag Ceremony to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Field of Pancasila University. The ceremony was attended by the Management of the Pancasila University Education and Advisory Foundation (YPP-UP), university leaders, lecturers, staff, students, the Pancasila University Family Association (IKUP), and delegates from the ASEAN Future Leaders Summit 2025 from various countries.

The moment of the Indonesian Independence Day commemoration ceremony this time felt very special because it was also attended by student representatives from various ASEAN countries who were participating in the ASEAN Future Leaders Summit (AFLES) 2025 at FEB UP. This Independence Day ceremony was even more special because UP was visited by 46 delegates from abroad such as Malaysia, China, Thailand, Timor Leste, Brunei Darussalam, Bangladesh, and Iran. AFLES is a Summer Program activity organized by the School of Management Universiti Sains Malaysia in collaboration with FEB UP and the Faculty of Tourism (FPar) UP. The presence of these delegates gave an international nuance while strengthening the message of brotherhood and solidarity between nations in the spirit of Indonesian independence.
Following the ceremony, the entire UP community continued with the Gebyar Kebersamaan (Togetherness Festival) held at Pancasila University. This event served as a form of gratitude and strengthened relationships within the academic community. It included a communal meal, arts and cultural performances from each unit/faculty, social messages, and the distribution of door prizes to staff. This event emphasized that the spirit of independence is not only celebrated but also lived out through togetherness and family at UP.
