Pancasila University: Building a Superior Generation with a Pancasila Spirit for a Golden Indonesia 2045

Jakarta, 09 November 2023 – Pancasila University celebrated its 57th Anniversary with a grand graduation ceremony for Odd Semester Students for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Edie Toet Hendratno, SH., M.Si., FCBArb., in her speech explained "in the future, all educational institutions must be able to produce potential human resources as a lever for achieving a Golden Indonesia 2045. Therefore, Pancasila University always ensures the formation of basic student competencies in the field of entrepreneurship, mastery of foreign languages, as well as the development of skills in accordance with their respective knowledge. This spirit is behind the selection of the graduation theme, namely "A Superior Generation with a Pancasila Spirit, as Determinants of a Golden Indonesia 2045" 

 

The Chancellor said "This graduation ceremony graduated 1,606 graduates and female graduates, consisting of 146 graduates of diploma programs, 1,143 graduates of undergraduate programs, 110 graduates of professional programs, 189 graduates of master's programs, and 18 graduates of doctoral programs." The Chancellor also thanked the students who had actively contributed various achievements both internationally and nationally, including 5 gold and 3 silver medals by Pharmacy Students at the World Science, Environment and Engineering Competition (WSEEC) 2023- Indonesia Young Scientist Association (IYSA) , the Puskanas.id National Olympic Championship where students won a Gold Medal, 5 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals, and 3 Bronze Medals obtained from the KONI CUP Indonesia Taekwondo Series-Kyorugi Poomsai 2022, and many others.

 

This scientific oration presented the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahfud MD, SH., SU, MIP, who will talk about the importance of law enforcement and justice in developing the country. The Chancellor hopes that the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahfud MD, SH., SU, MIP can motivate alumni in working in society to always prioritize honest and courageous attitudes and of course have the character of Pancasila values. "Moreover, currently Pancasila University has achieved Superior Accreditation, which is the highest score given to universities, and only around 1,08% universities out of 4,524 universities in Indonesia have obtained this accreditation, so its alumni also need to reflect superior behavior."

 

Of course, this superior behavior is also exemplified by the lecturers at Pancasila University. In recent years, Pancasila University has been active in producing professors in various fields of science. In 2022, the University received an award from LLDIKTI Region III as the University that confirmed the most Professors, namely 8 (eight) Professors, and later on. On December 12 2023 there will be 3 new Professors who will be inaugurated, namely: Prof. Dr. Ismail, ST., MT. , Prof. Dr. Ir. Jonbi, MT., M.Sc., MM. , Prof. Dr. Deni Rahmat, M.Si., Apt. , Dr. Apt. Ni Made Dwi Sandhiutami, S.Sc., M.Kes. The Chancellor closed his speech by inviting all attendees to believe that persistence is a quality that we need to develop to achieve success and help overcome increasingly complex challenges.
