Jakarta, July 7, 2025 — Pancasila University (UP) once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the transformation of national higher education through the Socialization of the Impactful Campus Program held in the Faculty of Economics and Business Hall on Monday (July 7). The event was attended by leaders from the Rectorate, faculty, study program managers, and resource persons.
In his remarks, the Chancellor of Pancasila University, Prof. Dr. Adnan Hamid, SH., MH., MM, emphasized that “Impact Campus” is not just a slogan, but a spirit of transformation in the Tridharma of Higher Education.
"Today's campuses can no longer be ivory towers. They must be present in the community, listening, learning, and acting. All of us—lecturers, students, industry, government, and the community—must work together to make a real impact in solving social problems," said Prof. Adnan.
This program encourages universities to be more adaptive to community needs, problem-solving oriented, and empowers students to become not only job seekers, but solution creators.
This outreach activity presented speakers from the Ministry of Education and Culture, including Dr. Nur Masyitah Syam, S.Kom., MM. Sub-Coordinator of Curriculum and Learning Outcomes of the Directorate General of Higher Education, and Dr. Wachyu Hari Haji, S.Kom., MM, Head of the Impact Internship Program of the Directorate General of Higher Education.
In her presentation, Dr. Nur Masyitah Syam emphasized that the future direction of higher education policy rests on transforming campuses into centers of real solutions for society. Higher education is required to connect research and expertise with the needs of business, industry, and the community.
"The new paradigm of higher education is not just about teaching and research, but about creating real and measurable impact," he said. He also emphasized the importance of quadruple-helix collaboration between universities, government, industry, and society to deliver inclusive and sustainable innovation.
Meanwhile, Dr. Wachyu Hari Haji explained that the 2025 Impact Internship Program is designed to transform students into agents of change who actively contribute to solving real-world challenges in society. The program prioritizes experiential learning through real-life projects with industry partners and institutions, the results of which are recognized not only through credit conversion but also through professional portfolios and measurable impact.
He added that this year's internship program challenges were higher than in previous years, as students had to demonstrate a match between their hard and soft skills for the positions offered by the internship partners. "If students prove suitable and able to meet the challenges, many partners will offer direct employment opportunities without having to go through a lengthy recruitment process.
"This is a form of appreciation for their quality and preparedness," he said. Outstanding students have the opportunity to earn a "golden ticket" in the form of a recommendation for immediate recruitment upon graduation, as they are deemed to possess the competencies and character traits that align with the needs of the workforce.
"We at Pancasila University are fully committed to being part of this transformation. The success of this program will depend largely on how well we align our visions, build collaboration, and continue to innovate," added the UP Rector.
Through this activity, Pancasila University hopes to strengthen the synergy between the academic community and external parties, as well as create an inclusive, innovative, and impactful campus ecosystem.
