Pancasila University (UP) together with 7 universities in DKI Jakarta, signed a Joint Agreement (MoU) on the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education including Education, Research, and Community Service with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government at the Great Hall, DKI Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta on Wednesday (16/04).
This activity was held to strengthen the synergy between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and Universities in optimizing resources as an effort to support the development and progress of the City of Jakarta. With this MoU, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government seeks to continue to encourage Universities to be involved and contribute to the development of DKI Jakarta in the fields of science, science, and technology in accordance with the scope of Education, Research, and Community Service.
In this MoU activity, it was opened by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Cooperation Bureau, Marulina Dewi who read the Main Points of the Cooperation Manuscript between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and 7 Universities. Among them are strong research with initial outputs including the Social Service, Health Service, Human Resource Development, provision of Field Work Practices for student internships involving RSUD, Puskesmas, UPT, Social Service, and community service, implementation of joint research according to the needs of students and universities.
The signing of the MoU was carried out by the Regional Secretary of DKI Jakarta Province, Marullah Matali and on this occasion, UP was represented by the Vice Chancellor for Learning, Student Affairs and Alumni, Arissetyanto Nugroho and witnessed directly by the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno.
The Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta also expressed his hopes regarding the signing of this MoU, as a form of concrete steps involving PT in developing DKI Jakarta in the future, this collaboration can certainly give birth to many sustainable research and innovation collaborations and have a direct impact on the development of Jakarta as a global city as well as welcoming the 5th century of the City of Jakarta, which will be commemorated in June 2027.
The signing of this MoU is one of the kickoffs that we are doing towards the 500th anniversary of the city of Jakarta, with the involvement of this PT it will certainly help us all in creating superior and competitive human resources so that we can face global challenges, where currently the opportunities to play a role in the world of work are not only at the domestic level, concluded Rano.
This collaboration is expected to be the beginning of various collaborative programs between the government and universities to realize the vision of sustainable and innovative Jakarta development.
