Chancellor of Pancasila University (UP) Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ir. Meanwhile, to welcome various challenges in the global world, continued Prof. Marsudi, UP has made various efforts, including encouraging students to excel.

"At the international level, through the IISMA [Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards] program, students have the opportunity to study at the University of Pecs, Hungary, and Universiti Malaya, Malaysia," he said. He explained that UP students from various faculties also won various awards, including awards at the International Film Festival in Malaysia, championships in the World Science, Environment and Engineering Competition (WSEEC) and the National Pharmacy Olympiad Competition, business idea competition awards, and digital poster competitions in the 6th national tourism student championship 2023. For non-academic fields, UP students won 2nd place in the Tarung Derajat regional championship, won silver in the Taekwondo Branch at the National Sports Week, and took part in the International Open Karate Championship Esa Unggul Cup 4 2023.

"Improving the quality of students is of course based on the quality of qualified lecturers, this is shown through the achievements of the lecturers," he said. There are a number of achievements by UP lecturers, including receiving several grant funds from the Ministry of Education and Culture, BRIN, LPDP, other ministries, and private companies as well as international funding sources with a total research grant of IDR 44.687 billion.

Meanwhile, for community service activities, IDR 9.509 billion was recorded from three different funding sources, namely the Ministry of Education and Culture, other ministries and private companies.

"The total funds that have been rolled out in the Kedai Reka program are IDR 11.743 billion together with partner funds (DUDI) of IDR 14.658 billion. "With these results, Pancasila University is in the top three national universities in the Main Cluster," he said. According to Prof. Marsudi, all the achievements above show that UP will continue to be committed to educating the younger generation who are not only competent in the academic field, but also have strong Pancasila character, are ready to face global challenges, and contribute positively to society and the nation. Chairman of the UP Foundation Trustees, Dr. (HC.) Ir. Siswono Yudo Husodo, said that competition in the world no longer recognizes national or regional boundaries. "It has become the borderless world, not only within the country, but also across national borders," he said. He said that the world predicts that Indonesia will become the country with the 4th economic power in 2050, behind China, India and the US. Indonesia has a driving factor for economic growth, namely a GDP of more than 1 trillion US dollars. “In the Southeast Asia region, only Indonesia has this factor. "Our country is now ranked 15th in the world in terms of GDP," he said.

According to Siswono, all empirical studies show that a country that has reached a GDP figure above US$1trillion has a stronger impetus for economic growth. He is optimistic that in 2045, Indonesia will achieve its glory or Golden Indonesia and become an important developed country in the global economic constellation. "Therefore, the younger generation must be ready, have achievement motivation and work enthusiasm to continuously innovate in their work," he said.

The graduation ceremony this time was entitled "The Role of the Superior Young Generation with Pancasila Character in the Sustainable Development of Indonesia". The total number of UP graduates who graduated this time was 837 people. Meanwhile, UP Jakarta Foundation Trustee Member, Prof. Dr. Bambang PS Brodjonegoro delivered a scientific oration and explained that the World Economic Forum estimates that artificial intelligence will replace around 85 million jobs by 2025.

The former Minister of Research and Technology/Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency, Minister of National Development Planning, and Minister of Finance (Menkeu), further stated that PwC estimates that by the mid-2030s, 30% jobs can be automated.

"During the first and second waves, it was thought that women were at risk of being impacted by automation, as many were in administrative jobs," he said. In the long term, many men will also be affected because machines will replace many manual jobs in various sectors.

"Therefore, it is important for college graduates not only to rely on a diploma, but also on critical thinking skills, creativity, interpersonal skills and various other soft skills," he said. He also asked UP graduates and students to become entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs who are really needed by this nation and state.

“With the capital you have, you are very qualified to become an entrepreneur. You will have the opportunity to create jobs. "Remember, unemployment still exists in Indonesia, including educated unemployment," he said. He advised, don't close off the opportunity to become an entrepreneur. “So don't close your opportunity to become an entrepreneur. "Don't just try to be an entrepreneur because you haven't succeeded in a professional career, but try both," he said. Bambang Brodjonegoro said that Indonesia was prevented from becoming a developed country because of the lack of entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs.

“Congratulations on your success. "Hopefully this journey will be brilliant, you will lead Indonesia to prosperity and prosperity," he said.
