Jakarta, November 5, 2024 – Pancasila University (UP), today graduated 1486 graduates from the D3/S1/S2/S3 and Pharmacist Study Programs. The graduation ceremony began with a scientific oration by Prof. Renald Khasali. In his oration he said, "A great nation is the result of a combination of study and learning, which produces an ethical work ethic in national development. Currently, the world is facing world war 4.0 which is marked by technological advances produced by science, which also replaces many human roles, while also overcoming resource limitations. With science and technology, the quality of life increases along with the emergence of new problems related to the hyper-real world, such as bullying and injustice, mental health, to global inflation. Amazingly, humans have the ability to feel and think, so they are able to develop continuous innovation to survive in the face of existing problems. "The world is experiencing a shortage of certain jobs that cannot always be solved by technology. So this is an opportunity for graduates to play a role in the global arena, as long as they have a work ethic and are willing to learn. Algorithmic technology also allows work to be more casual, flexible, more creative, and based on interconnected data," added Rhenald.
This graduation is the culmination of the series of the 58th Dies Natalis. In his speech, the Chancellor of UP, Prof. Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo, IPU, said that "this graduation moment is a form of responsibility and commitment of Pancasila University for the trust of parents and society, to educate and produce graduates who are godly and humane, have superior knowledge, as well as moral and ethical values and encourage Pancasila University graduates to become adaptive, productive, innovative, and contributive leaders, in facing complex challenges towards Indonesia Emas 2045".
Prof. Marsudi explained that currently UP has 34 Professors and has a number of achievements, namely being ranked 117th out of 3,842 universities in Indonesia, 32nd out of 145 Sustainable Campuses in Indonesia, and 14th in PTS with the Highest SINTA Score in Indonesia in 2024. In addition, 80% study programs at UP have been accredited as Excellent and A. UP also has collaborations with 192 domestic partners and 23 foreign partners. In the field of research, UP has received various grant funding and competitions such as Research Proposal funding, Kedai Reka from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology and Three research products that have the potential to be downstreamed. In the field of student affairs, UP students have achieved many achievements through Student Activity Units and Student Achievements in Each Faculty.
Simultaneously, the Head of the UP Education Foundation and Supervisor, Dr. (HC) Ir. Siswono Yudohusodo, in his speech invited all graduates to have adaptive abilities, to be able to adjust to current technological developments while still upholding the principles of civilization. "Indonesia will become a developed country, an industrial country with the 4th economic power in 2050," added Siswono. Therefore, Siswono invited graduates to work hard, smart, planned, increase fighting spirit and fighting spirit, through the implementation of various programs to build a knowledge base economy that will be the foundation for leading Indonesia to become a developed country.
Pancasila University also provides full scholarships for further study of the Master's program for two graduates with the best predicate and student achievements. The further study scholarships presented by the Chancellor are one proof of Pancasila University's commitment to maintaining the sustainability of the quality of human resources.
