FIKOM UP's Turnitin Workshop Promotes a Plagiarism-Free Academic Culture

The Faculty of Communication Sciences, Pancasila University (FIKOM UP) held a Turnitin Workshop on "Using Turnitin to Improve the Quality of Written Work in Building an Academic Culture of Integrity." This event is a concrete step by FIKOM UP to strengthen the Turnitin management system and build an academic culture of honesty and responsibility.

The workshop featured Muhammad David Lung, Senior Onboarding Consultant at PT Turnitin Indonesia, as the main speaker, and Tribuana Tungga Dewi, a lecturer at FIKOM UP, as moderator. In her remarks, the Dean of FIKOM UP, Anna Agustina, Ph.D., expressed her hope that this activity would broaden the academic community's perspective, particularly at Pancasila University, on the importance of maintaining academic integrity.

This event was held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Faculty of Psychology Hall, Pancasila University.

A total of 68 participants from various backgrounds, ranging from lecturers, education staff, to students including from other universities such as the University of Indonesia and Gunadarma University, took part in this activity.

This workshop aligns with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology's (Kemdiktisaintek) Academic Integrity strengthening program. By optimally utilizing Turnitin, FIKOM UP is committed to building a high-quality, productive, and plagiarism-free academic ecosystem.

The discussion session was interactive, with participants raising various questions and addressing field challenges directly with the speakers. Their enthusiasm demonstrated a strong commitment to the quality of written work and the importance of instilling ethical values in academia.
